The plan of work was to get a background on the problems of children [institutional, administrative, medical, and psychiatric[ which will be used in casework in South Carolina, and to obtain a Master of Social Science degree at Smith College. This application was submitted in 1942, and the chosen field is Social Work. Included is a handwritten note: Nice compliment girl with far from top record even at St Augustine's.
