The plan of work was to make an experimental study of the effects of racial attitudes in juding the logical validity of syllogisms, and to obtain a Ph.D. degree in Psychology at Columbia University under the supervision of Professor Henry E. Garrett. This application was submitted in 1948, and the chosen field is Psychology. Included is a handwritten note: Good record for two years at Columbia [illegible].
