An application from Pauline Wright Nichols Pepinsky, requesting a grant beginning July 1945. The plan of work was to carry out an an experimental study of the personality problems of Negro college students enrolled in a Middlewestern state university, and to obtain a Ph.D. degree at the University of Minnesota. Mrs. Pepinsky reapplied for another grant. These applications were submitted in 1945 and 1948, and the chosen field is Psychology. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to Mrs. Pepinsky in 1945, as well as handwritten notes: Golly what a good looking gal! [illegible] and Her references do not seem as all out as they did in 1945 [illegible].
