Description
An application from Marjorie Holloman Parker, requesting a grant beginning July 1942. The plan of work was to work on a research problem Elimination of reading Difficulties through Initial Teaching, and to obtain a Ph.D. degree at the University of Chicago under Dr. Ralph W. Tyler. Mrs. Parker reapplied for another grant beginning June 1944 towards investigating the force of the school in altering a cultural pattern. These applications were submitted in 19426 and 1944, and the chosen field is Education. Included are handwritten notes: Good person record. Tyler criticises his project while Buswell praises it [illegible] and An excellent candidate with a good and steadily [illegible] record [illegible].
