An application from Henry Allison Page III, requesting a nine-month grant beginning September 1940. The plan of work was to do a study of the problems gving rise to the Farm Security Administration, and to obtain a Ph.D. degree at Harvard University under Drs. Arthur Holcombe and Carle Zimmerman. This application was submitted in 1940, and the chosen field is Political Science. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to Mr. Page III in 1940, as well as a handwritten note: A brilliant young Southerner with a distinguished record at Princeton, Oxford, and Harvard [illegible].
