The plan of work was the completion of residence requirements for a doctorate at the University of Minnesota and a dissertation on Cotton Acreage Adjustments in the Mississippi River Alluvial Valley. This was to be done under Mr. O. B. Jesness. This application was submitted in 1942, and the chosen field is Agriculture. Also included is a handwritten note: Good man and good project... Evidentally more than simply a desire to get a degree....
