Application from Earl Clayhood Jackson, Sr., requesting a one-year grant in September 1945 to give special study to modern trends in curriculum construction and changes necessary for meeting the needs of pupils, and to obtain a Ph.D. degree at Harvard University under Dr. William H. Burton. Mr. Jackson reapplied for another one- year grant beginning September 1946, towards making a survey of literature about Negroes and compiling information that the ordinary White child should be taught about the Negro, to improve race relations. Included are handwritten notes.
