An application from Adelaide McGuinn Cromwell Hill, requesting a three-year grant in September 1941 to do a study of the Negro woman as she appears in different places of living, and to obtain a Master of Science degree at Bryn Mawr College. Mrs. Hill reapplied for another nine-month grant beginning September 1944, towards doing a study on a Negro group called the Moorish Americans, and to obtain a Ph.D. degree at Columbia University under R.M. MacIver. Included are a memorandum summarizing the grants awarded to Mrs. Hill, a record of her professional career, and a handwritten note.
