An application from Vivian Horatio Henry, requesting a one-year grant in July 1946 to conduct a sociological study tracing the development of racial and cultural contact between the British and the Negroes in the West Indian islands, and the present direction in which the movement is heading, as well as to obtain a Ph.D. degree at the University of Chicago under the supervision of Drs. Robert Redfield and Everett Hughes. Included is a handwritten note.
