Description
An application from William Henry Hale, requesting a one-year grant towards studying the relationship of the administration to a functional program of education, and obtaining a Ph.D. degree at the University of Chicago. Mr. Hale reapplied for another grant towards developing a community-related program for Bethune-Cookman College under the supervision of Dr. William F. Ogburn. Mr. Hale reapplied for another grant, beginning in September 1947, to support a descriptive and analytical study of the problems involved in the practice of law among Negroes in a large Northern city, Chicago, under the supervision of Dr. Everett C. Hughes. Included are handwritten notes.
