Description
An application from John Ansley Griffin, requesting a one-year grant in 1942 to continue a diversified program of graduate work in Sociology, Land Economics, Rural Sociology, Journalism, and obtain a Ph.D. degree at the University of Wisconsin under Dr. T.C. McCormick and a committee of the Graduate School. Mr. Griffin reapplied for another one-year grant for 1947. Included is a memorandum summarizing the 1947 grant awarded to Mr. Griffin, as well as handwritten notes regarding the applications.
