Description
An application from Edmonia White Grant requesting a grant to develop reading materials for low-literate Negro adults to use, such as Discover Negro America, while attending Columbia University. Mrs. Grant reapplied for another one-year grant beginning June 1942, towards working at Columbia University and Fisk University. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to Mrs. Grant, and a record of professional career and a handwritten note that evaluates the application.
