Applications from Alma Forrest Potts, also referred to as Alma Gladys Forrest, requesting grants in 1942, 1943, and 1947. The plan of work initially involved a comparative study of the vocabularies of southern rural and northern urban Negro youth. Later plans involved a study of conservatives and their part in the Secession period of southern history, to be conducted at the University of Chicago under Dr. Avery O. Craven. Also included is a handwritten note.
