Applications from Vada Lee Parks Easter, requesting grants in 1942 and 1948. The plan of work in 1942 was to pursue work toward a Bachelor of Music degree at Oberlin College. In 1948, the plan was to take a course of study leading to the doctorate degree in Musicology at the Chicago Musical College under Dr. Hans Rosenwald, with a thesis on The Negro Musician in the World of Today. Included are handwritten notes.
