Applications from Charles Livingston Durrance, Jr., requesting grants in 1947 and 1948 to study and develop teacher-pupil instructional materials for use in preparing teachers for school-community programs to improve living conditions, and later to develop a program in resource-use education for public school curricula in the Southeast. This was to be done while working toward the Doctor of Education degree at Teachers College, Columbia University under Dr. Harold F. Clark. Included is a handwritten note.
