Description
-
A Fellowship Application from Allen Orlando Brown, requesting a 1-year grant beginning in September 1947. The plan of work was to break down the opinion that a Negro pianist is a "bad risk"- by eliminating technical difficulties and studying intensively under best master teachers- by preparing several representative programs and concerti, while under the supervision of Mme. Olga Samaroff Stokowski. The chosen field was Music-Instrumental (Piano).
