Johnson, while pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Chicago under Dr. Newton Edwards. And to develop a guidance program in Negro teacher training institutions and obtaining a Ph.D. degree at the University of Minnesota under the supervision of Dr. W.W. Cook, and to study the psychological and environmental factors that affect educational counseling, under the supervision of Dean Wesley E. Piek. Included is a handwritten note.
