An application from Evelyn Boyd, requesting an eight-month grant beginning October 1946. The plan of work was to study Mathematics and Mathematical Physics and obtain a Ph.D. degree at Yale University under the supervision of Professor Einar Hille. Ms. Boyd reapplied for another nine-month grant beginning September 1947. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to Ms. Boyd across 1946 and 1947, as well as a handwritten note.
