An applications from Myrtle M. Bowers, requesting a grant from 1942 and 1948. The plan of work was to obtain a Master of Arts degree while studying in the field of ancient civilizations at Smith College, and in 1948 to investigating the development of Turkish nationalism while obtaining a Ph.D. degree in History at the University of Wisconsin under the supervision of Mr. Howard Becker. Included is a memorandum from 1942 and a handwritten note.
