An application from Belle Boone Beard, requesting a 1-year grant beginning June 1945. The plan of work was to discover and test social materials for the training of professional personnel, as well as experiment in techniques of presentation and utilization of such materials. This would be in collaboration with Wayland Jackson Hayes. This application was submitted in 1945, and the chosen field is Sociology. Also included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to Ms. Beard in 1945, as well as handwritten notes: "A cooperative project with Wayland J. Hayes [illegible]", and "[illegible] High standing on the south. To the study [illegible]".
