Description
The documents include applications from 1946, 1947, and 1948 by Chester Banks, Jr., an Instructor in History and Political Science at Morehouse College. The applicant was awarded $1200 to make an investigation into the problem of the international society and other related initiatives. In 1948, the applicant was given $1900 as a reappointment to show that the nations who engaged in the Second World War,1939-1945, conducted their hostilities to a great extent in conformity with the existing body of international laws of warfare. Also included are a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded and two evaluative notes. One assigns a grade of A-and both include brief handwritten assessments on the application.
