Record of Fellowship Granted, Written Addendum, and Fellowship Application of Marcus Bartlett
-
Description
-
The documents contain a 1939 application from Marcus Bartlett, a Musical Director and Sport Commentator at Radio Station WSB. The applicant was awarded $1,100 to collect and coordinate the studies already made on the use of radio in education with object of improving educational programs and making them available to small non-network stations of the South. The war and changes in the administration of Station WSB prevented Mr. Bartlett from working under this grant, and he resigned in April of 1941. Also included are a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded and an evaluative note that assigns an A and includes a brief handwritten assessment of the application.
