An application from Nolan Hamilton Anderson, an associate professor of Biology at Wiley College, in 1942, requesting a grant to determine the reason or reasons for a lack of crossing over in the male Drosophila melanogaster. Wishes to work for a Ph.D. degree at the University of Michigan under Dr. A. F. Shull for a period of nine months beginning in September. Also included are two evaluative notes: one for 1939 that assigns a B and the other a B-, both of which contain a brief written assessment of the applicant.
