Ms. Scott reapplied for another grant beginning June 1942 towards working out procedures and meaningful materials for the constructive development of a socially and cultural backward Negro community of the urban South. These applications were submitted in 1940 and 1941, and the chosen field is Sociology. Excellent record in practical work. Her outline seems to me unduly long winded. But testimonials are so high that I am greatly impressed.
